HAMLET, the masterpiece of William Shakespeare, is presented by the 5th Season in the summer of 2024. With Hamlet, Shakespeare presents to the world theater a monumental play which, for centuries now, has created its own mythology. A dive into the essence of man and at the same time a requiem to his dark side. Through Hamlet, Shakespeare describes his era, which is also our era. A timeless and deeply political text. Using the magnificent poetic translation of Giorgos Heimonas as a vehicle, the performance follows the “collapse” of a world, incapable of obeying rules and ethics. A dark, ruthless world, where friendship and blood relations mean nothing.
